Trump has blocked Sir Keir Starmer's landmark Chagos Islands deal, calling it an "act of great stupidity" and withdrawing US support — leaving the UK government in crisis.
The Times revealed that the bill underpinning the deal to cede sovereignty of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius will NOT be included in the King's Speech, after President Trump pulled his backing.
Starmer insists the deal still stands but admits it cannot move forward without Washington's support.
