Former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has dropped a bombshell in her latest tell-all memoir.
In her book ‘Independent’, Jean-Pierre details how she could not “stomach” being in the Democratic Party anymore.
She also accused Democrats of launching a "firing squad" on former US president Joe Biden, who stepped down from the presidential ticket last July.
“Biden seemed to be totally at peace with his decision, but I was stunned, my feelings a blur.
I was angry and sad,” Ms Jean-Pierre wrote.
“I was enraged and heartbroken that this man had given more than 50 years of his life to serving the American people, and in the end he’d been treated poorly by members of his own party.
It was horrible.”
The former press secretary’s book has reignited questions about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline during his presidency and his administration’s cover-up.
