US Senator John McCain has threatened that the Senate may block any nuclear agreement with Iran.
McCain said the senators will do everything in their power to make sure they do play a role.
The Republican Senator added that he doesn’t think Tehran and the P5+1 group of countries will reach a deal that the Senate can live with.
Earlier, the Senate announced that it will vote next month on a bill requiring President Barack Obama to give any nuclear agreement with Iran to Congress for review.
The White House opposes any bill passed before June 30 and has issued a veto threat.
