    They've said in a statement that the military aid provided by the United States and other Western countries is insufficient to confront Syrian forces.

    The Free Syrian Army which led the battle against the Damascus government three years ago, has now turned into a highly divided rebel group.

    The militants have been funded and equipped with sophisticated weaponry by the West and some Persian Gulf states to topple the Damascus government.
