Donald Trump has clearly bought into his own delusion that the 2020 election was stolen (it wasn't), and he said in an interview over the weekend that he still believes the election is going to be decertified.
That's not even a thing that can happen, but Trump and his most loyal supporters still seem to believe in the fantasy.
Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what it would take for this bizarre conspiracy to actually be true.
Over the weekend, Donald Trump did and interview with Gateway Pundit, where he once again spread the big lie that the 2020 election was stolen.
Except this time he finally took it to the next level and Donald Trump told Gateway Pundit, that he believes they some unspecified they, are going to de-certify the 2020 presidential election.
Here's what he said.
The only problem is the press doesn't like talking about it, including Fox, the press doesn't like talking about it.
This was a rigged election.
They used COVID and they used mail-in ballots to rig the election.
We won the election by a lot.
I do believe they are going to de-certified the, de-certify the election.
This is a terrible, terrible thing that happened to our country.
All right, clearing the air here.
You didn't win the election by a lot.
You didn't win the election at all.
You lost by over 7 million votes, just like you lost in 2016 by nearly 3 million votes.
But you were saved by the electoral college.
So you put those two together combined, you've lost by 10 million votes.
And yeah, they did use COVID to change the rules.
You're absolutely right about that.
Just to make things safer for voters.
And of course, because of that, we got a slightly higher participation rate, which is exactly what we want in this country.
And that way more people were able to reject you, who probably wouldn't have shown up at the polls to begin with.
But that doesn't mean it's illegal.
That doesn't mean it was rigged.
It just means we had more people voicing their concerns via their votes.
That's what happened here.
But as long as Donald Trump is still breathing and still able to speak this man is going to say things like this every single time he gets in front of a camera.
This is what he does.
He cannot let this go because part of him is always going to be bitter and upset about the fact that he lost a presidential election to Joe Biden, who was arguably one of the weakest Democrats in that primary field, yet because everybody rallied behind him, he became the nominee.
And of course he won the election.
He beat Donald Trump.
There's no question about that.
At every possible opportunity all of these Trump loyalists, whether it's Sidney Powell, Lin Wood.
Mike Lindell, Rudy Giuliani, they have been given every possible opportunity in media and in the US justice system to somehow prove that this election was stolen from Donald Trump.
And every time they've been given the chance to do it, which they shouldn't have even been given the chance, but they were, and they failed to do it.
And I think that's a point that a lot of people tend to overlook here.
They've been given these opportunities time and time again, hell, for going on nearly a year at this point.
Ten months, these individuals claiming the election was rigged, claiming they have evidence of it.
They've gone in front of courts and the judges have said, show us your evidence.
What you got? And they say, well, okay, well technically, I mean, we got nothing, but you know, you could imagine how, how it would be if it were rigged.
And the judges, say, all right, get the hell out of my courtroom.
You're wasting everybody's time.
Mike Lindell's cyber symposium, same thing.
